WWE Friday Night Smackdown: Why The Fiend Fingered Bliss Edition

Stop me if you've heard this before... but WWE's TV scripts are getting messed with right up to and even through the start of show tapings. That included tonight's episode of Smackdown... which was supposed to be part of a 2-show taping... but due to issues involving the story writing and superstars being MIA... only tonight's episode was taped earlier this week. Similar issues plagued the Raw tapings earlier this week... but it seems like they got both shows "in the can"
AEW got over 900,000 views this past week... its best showing in the ratings since the 1st Dynamite episode of the pandemic/no fans era (and debuts of both Matt Hardy & Brodie Lee)
But it's not all warm fuzzies and hearts and chocolates for AEW... as Brandi Rhodes deleted her twitter account following the announcement of the AEW Heels service due to backlash about the addition of the service and how AEW has actually terribly underutilized its women's division
By the way... it's been confirmed... Pat McAfee will be wrestling. In a sanctioned match. In a wrestling ring. On the WWE Network. Yes... the former Indianapolis Colts punter will face Adam Cole (BAY-BAY) at NXT TakeOver XXX in a few weeks. If anyone in NXT can carry McAfee to a somewhat respectable match... it should be Cole
Now for tonight's Friday Night Smackdown preview... from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla.
After The Fiend ended last week's show by giving Alexa Bliss the Mandible Claw... Bray Wyatt will be in the Firefly Fun House tonight to tell us if The Fiend got us what we all want... Swamp Bliss
The Original Bro faces the one sober guy who couldn't win a fight with a drunkard at a bar
Speaking of that drunkard... Jeff Hardy tries to fight off another person who's trying to get him to come off the wagon... Baron Corbin
Pro... Shorty G (the gimmick) is apparently dying
Con... Chad Gable is caught in the Baron Corbin mid-card vortex of evil
The Miz & John Morrison better watch who they call a "ho ho" with new Miz TV correspondent on the payroll tonight, the butch Sonya Deville... she may try to cut off Morrison's hair

Oh, and off-topic, but just when thought the world couldn't get any more insane, Southern Miss is changing the name of the Dixie Darlings. My suggestion for the new name is the Empowered Non-Binary Dance Comrades.

WWE tv is supposed to go back to being live for Summerslam week so the Smackdown before Summerslam will be the next live WWE show. Also lots of talk that SS will be in Atlantic City with a random beach in Florida being the second leading contender.
