right now it seems mostly confined to the British Wrestling scene

everyone named so far is either British or made their names in the BritWres scene

heck... even the founder of WrestleTalk has been implicated

What was the Adam controversy? I only watched WhatCulture for King Ross and didn’t pay attention to anything else. I saw Oli mention it but he gave no details.

That issue pre-dates me watching them... but there's Wiki to the rescue

quote:

In September of 2017, Adam Blampied along with Jack King, Adam Pacitti, Ross Tweddell, and Sam Driver announced they were leaving Whatculture. The five men then began posting cryptic tweets with a "C" and a countdown to November. Eventually, they announced that this was the start of their new channel Cultaholic. Days before the official launch of the channel, Adam released statements regarding sexual predication and asking women for nude photos, even though he was in a relationship. After these statements, Cultaholic formally terminated Adam, and he would release a video on his own YouTube channel describing the nature of his actions. 6 months later, Adam would release a 2nd video on his channel saying goodbye to YouTube and all of his followers by announcing that he wouldn't be returning to Cultaholic or even Whatculture and that he was leaving YouTube all together.

ETA: it kinda surprised me that he's straight... I assumed he was gay
