I’m still completely 50/50 on Dean leaving. The thing is, in this environment, they would acknowledge he’s leaving. You don’t want him disappearing and showing up in AEW to be a huge story. Mitigate it now. Turn the fans against him as much as possible and make him like as much of a bum as possible. I honestly don’t think the Shield reunite with him leaving if it wasn’t Roman’s first match back. They are just trying to make the Roman return as hype as possible.

They’re letting them bust out the full nostalgia act. Woulda been crazy if Rollins had brought back the blonde streak in the hair. That would have been the one visual thing that would have made this feel like they rolled back the clock.
