We can debate the Balor Reigns finish for sure….but the Lynch Belair finish is exactly what it needed to be….
1) First the match was top class…..easily the best women’s match in the world in 2021 so far.
2) It protected Belair ahead of a huge draft move to Raw most likely
3) It gets Lynch back into the face/tweener role that is the wheelhouse for the Man character.
4) It gets Banks involved in a big way and brings a level of continuity to the WM storyline with Belair ……which is something WWE hasn’t done well recently at all.

It didn’t even have clean finish. This is WWE fanboy rhetoric at its apex. Don’t tell me you’re objective anymore. It’s fine, seriously, that you’re a WWE fan. But easily? That’s disrespectful to the work of Ms. Rosa and Dr. Baker.
This was a fine match but….
Rosa-Baker unsanctioned match is a Match of the year candidate, it’s the best women s match of the year, easily.

The finish is what it needed to be....the work up to that point between Lynch and Belair is what allowed that to happen.

....It was a fine match. It doesn't touch the work rate from these two (mostly on Baker). Also the blood and guts in this match took away from it for me. I know the IWC boys all clamor for blood and guts but seeing Baker bleed like a stuck pig in the ring was very cringe. There is a reason it simply doesn't happen in the US and probably the same reason that AEW hasn't done it again with women.
Also what was the damn story it was another of those "we just signed a person so let's throw a match together" things that AEW does.
