I don't know why you're getting the d/v. This is actually fairly accurate. MTG not being "MAGA enough" should have everyone's red lights flashing brightly. Cornyn doing a full 180 on the filibuster is another red light.

I'm a child of the Reagan Era and have always considered myself a RR. Critizize John McCain for whatever you want but his unforgivable sin was platforming Sarah Palin. Him doing that led to the Tea Party which then evolved into MAGA. It turns my stomach when I see MAGA try to use Reagan against those who have stayed true to the "Party of Reagan".

I was thinking about this today. Fetterman could put himself in a situation which many traditional "Reagan Republicans" would recognize as the answer from the Democrats... history books would call his bloc "Fetterman Democrats". Some of the more centric RRs would possibly crossover and become FDs. If he aligned with my key issues (and Rubio wasn't the GOP nominee), I'd likely be one of them.

FWIW, my 2016 vote went Walker (early donor for him) > Rubio > Cruz through the convention > Trump. In 2024 it was with Nikki both in the primary and write-in for the general. The media makes it hard not to hate the party of Chucky, Dollar Store Obama, and Gavin more than anything Trump does.
