Last summer I bought a girl a fish-shaped keychain made in the Holy Land. Wasn't someone I considered a romantic possibility but the same principle applies - she's Christian and would like it, and it wasn't something you can find at any convenience store.

As our world keeps turning
The earth continues burning
All the while kingdoms come

Golden ideals permanently surreal
As each cycle begins again
Cynics compose their sermons of doubt
Powerful armies flex their clout
Infallible leaders adress the people
Wondering why they can't see whats real
Around and around this ride we go
Surely it stops or would that be cruel
If we kept on spinning day by day
This pale blue dot in the milky way.
Writing is a beautiful endeavor, one of the most cathartic tools we are enabled with. Sadly it seems so absent these days, if you don't write for someones write for yourself. I bet you will look back fondly on your musings, observations and experiences as time passes.
