Just got home from the game and had about four police SUV's blocking Jefferson. As I drove passed, I saw a motorcycle on the ground and beat to shite.

Anyone know what happened? Prayers to everyone involved. Looked bad.

Could you tell what color the bike was? Rice rocket?

Considering how so many people run that red light at that intersection, I can't say I'm surprised. I live near there - people drive so fricking retarded in this area because pissy pants are trying to get to I12 fast. Just a couple of days ago some douche in a SUV used the right turn lane by Izzos/Walgreens to pass traffic through that intersection then cut back into the two travel lanes going towards Airline, flow of traffic was doing near the speed limit. Damn near wrecked into two cars - then cut into the middle turn lane to pass people.

Man prayers out to all involved. That intersection has a lip at the top of it and I avoid it on my bike rides -- only because I can't control myself and its dangerous. I used to see how much air I can catch off of it. If you're on bluebonnet and hit it around 70mph, it's like hitting a ski jump. Fun as hell but dangerous. You come up to that intersection at high speed and someone decides to make a right turn on red - you're dead.

Not saying that's what happened regarding this accident -- but I totally avoid it now. The thrill is not worth the reward for me.

You'd go fricking 70 down Bluebonnet?

I see it all the time. Couple of years ago a dude on a bike was doing 60+ and swerved in that S turn between 10 and Jefferson, clipped the curb and died. Those street lights are magnets for drunks as well.

All I saw was that the bike was red and wasn't a rice rocket.

There was an SUV parked in a nearby parking lot with people standing by it.

Hope nobody died.

That is a good speed to catch a little roller coaster action. My car bounces hard there but I don't think it goes airborne.

No. I would go the speed limit until I got to that intersection. Then, In the right conditions with little traffic, i would nail it to jump the intersection. It's amazing how much air you can catch right there. I've pressed my luck enough at that intersection and totally avoid it now when on my bike.

Meh... Probably one of those guys who obnoxiously says "watch out for bikers" shite but also whips in and out of traffic at red lights.

Judging from your name I assume you own one of those hooligan machines and I am green with envy. My wife won't let me have one after an incident involving my friends Husky 610 and a sidewalk. My dreams of sliding around town and jumping shite have been crushed by tiny blonde woman.
