Would you take the family on a beach trip over the next three weeks?

I know some people who have canceled their beach trip next week due to the virus. Others are extending their trips with all the time off with the kids.
My wife is leaning toward the former and is worried about the virus. I'm willing to be cautious, but the beach sure sounds nice right now.

Ive never encountered 250 people on our yearly trips to redneck riviera unless of course it’s big kahunas.
Which sucks bc Lee Jr and I love water parks.
Outside of lazy rivers.
I had diarrhea in one once. Made a mess.

I was thinking this was the perfect time for a gulf coast trip. Should get a decent price on a condo. I wouldn’t think the beach would be too crowded. Decent temps.

Okay - so what would be your contingency plan if one of your kids (or I guess one of the parents) gets sick?
This will be my biggest obstacle with convincing my wife. She's going to imagine us 250 miles from home and someone getting severely ill with the WuHu Flu.

Ask her what if Corona wasn't a factor right now and someone still got sick while on the trip? The steps taken would likely still be the same.
