It would be great but realistically there’s too much poaching going on and it gets too hot and humid for them. They’d never last.

It would take massive resources from the state. LDWF is more invested in conservation of fisheries and marine life.

It's actually even simpler than that--theres just no way we could support Elk on top of deer and other species that would compete for those food resources.

Elk used to range across the entire country at European contact/settlement. They are probably just as adaptable as white-tailed deer, with one exception--they are big as hell, making it alot harder for those big bastards to hide.
