It depends a bit on the venue. Open field I’d probably go with a bob cat. Size being a big factor as I think I could land one good blow with the fist or kick and likely end it before any damage is done. the cat probably won’t be able to land a lethal blow even if I miss. The wolf can certainly kill me if gets around my neck. Also good chance it could break my arm or hand if it gets hold.

I'm thinking a grey wolf in Alaska vs a 15-20 lb bobcat. Either one would definitely tear you up a bit.

You have more than a chance with the bobcat, but you’ll still be torn up. A fully grown wolf would absolutely kill you every time. You wouldn’t stand a chance.

Both have cutting advantage over you....teeth vs claws....it doesn't matter. Your best shot is brute force and blunt force trauma. Therefore, weight of each is the biggest factor and your advantage in that department is the Bobcat.

Grab that kitty and beat his head against a rock while he shreds your forearms.

Don’t you think it’d be easier to incapacitate a wolf?

You could easily manhandle a 20lb bobcat.
