Would you rather drive an old muscle car or new?

I've wanted a '68 Camaro since I was a kid.
but I'd take a '16 SS over it any day. more power, more fuel efficient, and safer.

I have a 1970 Chevelle with a 350 out of a Corvette.
I prefer it exponentially over anything new I've driven.

I thought about buying a classic car or truck as my daily driver for a long time before I eventually had a family and the point was moot. Even if you drive a 1960s Mustang for 100k miles, it will still be a 1960s Mustang when it comes time to move on.
ETA my problem was I kept spending cash on other things and it is difficult to get quality auto loans on used vehicles. Can't beat new auto loan rates if you're going to finance it.

I would take the older version of almost every muscle car besides the sting Ray. New sting Ray is amazing

Anything with some get up an go works for me.
Used to trade my motorcycle for a '64 Sport Fury with a 426, Hurst 4 speed, 410 rear end convertible in my youth. Somabitch would flat out fly for a short time.

Had a Camaro 2SS, Z51 Vette (C7), and a Mustang GT in the last few years. I'd take any one over an old muscle car in a heartbeat. An old one would be nice to cruise around in on weekends, but the most of the old "muscle" cars didn't have that much muscle. Hell, a modern 4 cyl. Mustang will smoke most old muscle cars. Give me 400+ hp any day.

Drive every day as primary car? I'd have to go with a new Mustang. If just for weekends, etc., I'd pick a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 with a 428 Cobra Jet.

Funny you post this because I saw one of these on the way home today and I haven't seen one in years. The body looked like it was in perfect condition.
...and the Vette comments are spot on. While the Vette only had a few more hp than my Camaro or Stang (455 vs. 426/435), it felt like it had 100 more. It was just SO much faster. I can't even imagine what the Z06 feels like with 650. The Vette was a beast on the road course too.
