Last Monday a moving truck that was too tall drove through the bank head tunnel taken out some lights and destroying the entire top of the roof of the truck.
somehow the guy made it all the way out the other side but traffic was particularly bad last Monday
Man that happened twice last week two oversized trucks went into the bankhead tunnel the truck hits the sensors and the sirens go off and they still drive through it.

If you leave BR to go to the beach at 9:00 am on a Saturday, then I have zero sympathy for you sitting in hours of traffic in Mobile.

Mobile tunnel means you are a couple of hours from Destin. BR bridge means you are visiting your aunt in Lake Charles.

BR Bridge is EVERY frickING DAY FOR HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS.

Baton Rouge bridge is hell and significantly worse than the tunnel. Who Da Fuk designs something like that? A major cross country interstate that essentially dead-ends into one single lane exit in each direction. I drove from League City, Texas to Destin on Memorial day weekend. I had to divert to the old bridge on Thursday afternoon. I stayed overnight in Baton Rouge. On Friday there was traffic at the tunnel but it was still a steady flow.
