I've never really known why, but when something is needlessly referred to as a "kit".
"Call now to receive your free information kit on real estate investment" and it's literally just a flyer
"Your at-home testing kit" when it's just a fricking box
I have a regular partner at work that says "supposably" often and it drives me crazy too
