The rest of the parish having a shitfit would be a big reason.
I understand the politics, but I’m addressing the point that if formed there is every reason to believe a SG ISD would result in. Good school system.
Now if it never forms then we would never know what may have happened, but I don’t agree with people saying a SG ISD won’t work. I believe it would if given a chance.

Sadly, behind BRMHS and Lee, it might be 3rd best in EBRPSS. Look what it is up against:
Broadmoor (might actually be 2nd)
Tara
McKinley
Belaire
Glen Oaks
Istrouma
Capitol
Various hastily thought out "alternative" schools.
Woodlawn is a mix of Parkview and Catholic kickouts, ghetto slum, and Hispanics and Indians.

Lee Magnet HS would be second.
I think Woodlawn does have a magnet program now also, but there are still traditional programs in the school. As someone above mentioned, it depends on what kinds of classes you're in (or teach)--magnet, gifted, Great Scholars--as to how bad the kids are.

I left out Lee by mistake. It is 2.
