In fact, those who are genetically predisposed to easier weight gain are superior from an evolutionary perspective.

We even have certain gut biome data that suggests the gut populations of some people allow for easier calorie absorption. In today's world, that's a liability. But from an evolutionary perspective, it's a competitive advantage.
