From the lips to the attempt at flying, I think she lost her battle with reality.

I feel like I could survive 160 ft if I land right

you are traveling at roughly 68 mph at that height of a drop that size. Not many people are surviving that. very lucky few (who arent trained and prepped).

At terminal velocity, hitting water is absolutely not the same as concrete. It still is deadly but the human body won’t explode the way it would if hitting concrete. Land just right, with head tucked, toes down, and arms to the side, you even have a small chance of survival.

I remember Bill Burr doing a bit in his standup routine about a true news story where some guy had worked hard and saved up a bunch of money of starting his dream business of giving scenic helicopter rides along the coast.

Anyway on this guy's first day of business and his very first paying customer, they go up in the helicopter along the coast and as soon as they reach cruising altitude, the passenger unbuckles his seatbelt and tells the helicopter pilot, "sorry to do this to you but I don't want to live anymore" and then jumps out.

Amazingly the guy somehow survived. Bill Burr said he must have hit the water like Greg Louganis - no splash.

Panic attacks are not super brief. I'm not saying it was or wasn't a panic attack, or drugs or anything. Idgaf. But i will tell you, I had ONE panic attack in my life. 20+ years ago, and I fking remember it. It lasted for like half an hour or more, and there was nothing but irrational fear. It doesn't go away fast.

I legit thought I was dying of a heart attack about 13 years ago - went to the ER and the nurses laughed after running some tests - the doctor told me I was fine and stress compounded into a real panic attack.

I got a few calm down pills and went home to get sleep.

That panic attack hit hard for about 90 minutes - I was miserable and would have put my $350 estate on a heart attack.
