My Tacoma has a button you can press that makes starting the truck without pressing the clutch possible. It can either be in gear, which I've never tried, or out of gear.
The clutch in my wife's 5 series has to be fully down for the starter to activate, there is no 'clutch delete' feature.
Neither vehicle would I put a remote starter on...and I can't imagine why anyone with a manual would want one.
