KATC
This happened in front of my apartments Monday night. After hearing a loud screech and a bang I ran out front and found out she just ran off. The cops searched for an hour but they never found her. I figured she was drunk and scared.
She apparently broke into an apartment and ran out at 3AM then wasn't seen again until this morning. She was found on the back porch of a house a few hundred feet from the accident scene. This woman tore boards off a fence to break into the apartment complex.
I just can't imagine how she managed to get in a major crash and walk around for 36 hours unnoticed. I'm not thinking it was alcohol anymore.

After running the toxicology report, investigators were shocked by what they found......

They searched the apartment grounds for an hour or so but I never saw a K9 or anything. I either thought she was drunk and scared. Or hit her head and went into shock... which could kill her if she didn't get medical attention.
But maybe the cops found some "product" in the car and knew what they were dealing with. She climbed out of her passenger side door and left her purse, ID, etc in the car. From what a witness told me she walked past bystanders and never seemed to even notice them. Meth or coke, no doubt.

She could have head trauma.

A women near where I live did something similar. A little after 5am she crashed through the parking lot of a firestation, through some pushes and chain link fence, and into the side of a mini storage unit.
She ran off, nowhere to be found. Turned up the next morning acting like nothing happened. She was probably drunk when she crashed, but obviously they couldn't prove it since she left so no dui.

Her ability to rip boards off of fences says otherwise though...

How many other people leave the scene of an accident to avoid DUI and how successful is that? Of course there are charges for leaving the scene of an accident but those can't be as bad as DUI, right?
