Should this thread be merged with the "what happened to New Orleans East" thread?

Stereotypes reflect reality, frankly.

Murder means intent. And would not be able to prove intent because there would not have been any motive. If she was charged with murder she would be walking and not convicted. Manslaughter pretty much made sure she would get convicted.

I go by this spot everyday on my way home. Traveling east on Jack Warner the road curves to the left at Marrs Spring. If she wasn’t paying attention she would drive directly onto the sidewalk. This is part of campus and the river walk trails are on the other side of Jack Warner. There are lots of walkers/joggers in what is essentially a park.

I remember that night. I was across the river at the house of someone who runs the charity I help with (Here to Serve, we provide free meals during disasters like hurricanes and tornadoes).

We heard no brakes screeching just a really loud thump and a bunch of screaming. Was hard to believe that sound carried as far as it did... we were about 500 feet away and it sounded like we were right there.

Such a sad situation. If the driver was indeed aware of her bad brakes I hope she goes to prison.

shite, before this is over DeSquisha will be pleaded out to a minor traffic fine. The victim will be charged with failure to yield.
