I was perusing The Rant in family room at my Mom's near Mall of Louisiana (off Anselmo). Heard a couple bangs, louder than one would expect, but figured it was construction/repair by neighbor.

Heard glass break, went to door and saw a 40-ish 5'10" male leaving the damaged area and going to hide, because I think a car was passing. I banged on the window of our door and he hears it and heads to a fence that he chooses not to tackle (you'll see why in a sec...)

Then he doubles back where he came from and... with one hand holding up his jeans... I'm serious... I thought this was the O-T pranking/punking me at this point. I mean really... who the hell wears loose pants and no belt to a breaking and entering?

I lost him but other neighbor saw him get in vehicle and flee. Sheriffs came and we gave description.

Sucks, because lady has bad door/window damage. Also, this is a good neighborhood with quite low crime.

Sounds like that’ll be true for a few more months. Sorry for your loss.

You thought some random ppl from a message board were pranking you bc you saw a trashy person trying to rob someone? Really?

I appreciate it. Her name is Mary.

Coincidentally, I'm moving her elsewhere on Friday.

Yes really. I thought it was you actually, and gave the cops your IP address.

EBR Sheriffs have a VERY detailed description from us, including vehicle.

I know where that is. He probably knows the owners and wanted something specific from the house. Random break-ins at 3 pm on a Saturday are probably pretty rare. It's not like that is the hood or anything.

I hadn't thought of that. Interesting!!

Yea, we were saying that too. Really dumb timing given all the people home and outside. Heck, there were two witnesses to his crime, and a dude walking a big dog came by two minutes later.

And the pants too. Bright dude.

Was it more towards the front of the neighborhood (closer to Anselmo) or more towards the back?
