With all this thrill of the storm chasing...

how about an RPG game where you are thrown in the middle of a disaster like a hurricane, tornado, wildfire, earthquake, tsunami, etc. and you have to escape or do a mission, or you have something like Fortnite (never played it) where you rendezvous with some friends who were also in the storm. They might have gotten stuck in the surge and you have to steal a boat to rescue them. Or you are on the road, like one of those storm chasers trying to find a shelter before the surge gets to you and you have to break into a house.
Watching some of those storm chasers yesterday gave me the idea, it may even sound creepy.
It could be called Disaster, but depending on the game play it might be a disaster for the company that releases it. Special effects are are going to have to be killer to develop.
I know there is a Tech board and wanted to the get the OT’s opinion on it.

I like the idea and it could take advantage of dx12 to make some great atmospheric effects

But a pretty good start.
I would take the that game’s tornado chase to a hurricane level. My concept would be to develop a Hurricane edition or the Brett Adair Edition.
Also, I guess we can throw a blue shed hidden hang out in there some where for some OT comic relief.
