Wired home security system?

The house we're moving into in a few weeks is already fully wired (doors, windows, etc) for a security system. Do y'all have any recommendations for a good company to go with?
We have the basic simplisafe system in our rental house right now. Is it easier/cheaper to just stick with them and add extra sensors and such?
It seems like most all the major companies to wireless systems now.

Just go with ADT. If you go with a smaller company, ADT will buy them out, and you’ll be with ADT anyway

I'm cheap so I'd just get a cellular module for the system board and add the additional sensors you want. You can arm, disarm, get alerts, etc. via text so you don't have to pay monitoring.

Everything is wireless these days, and you can do it yourself if you want. Only thing is you won’t be monitored, but i don’t see any reason for that since the thieves will eh long gone once the alarm sounds. I would get a camera too. You can get some that stream and alert to your phone.
