But I really want to get my cht and do ortho and work hardening

Chemist 10%. Even that seems high being that there haven't been large jumps in HPLC technology. We still have to create mobile phase, prep samples, put on the column, etc. That is just one instrument among hundreds.

I repair complex control systems as well as telemetry and some direct automation.
