Of course, here comes the atheist to ruin the thread.
Atheist coming here to try and spread their religion but will argue, it’s not religion.

Honestly, could you call it heaven if you didn’t know or see your loved ones again?
Some people would say it would be heaven if they didn't see their family..

I can fix her.
I sincerely wish anyone could. She is in her 50's and lives in her sons house due to "fibromyalgia". She can't go a single day without manufacturing a fake crisis. I haven't spoken to her in 3 years. Even had to block her from my wife's phone.

no that's not what the Bible teaches
Youre gonna need to take that up with Jesus, not me
quote:
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself
If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
A place for you, to abide in
A more accurate translation is "In my house are many rooms".

More downvotes than upvotes on this post. Why do folks ask religious questions on a board dominated by Catholics?
"But Jesus answered them, “You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God. 30For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. "

I'm more concerned in seeing my dog again.
So here is the thing with that...only humans have souls re 1 Peter chapter 3 and it says there were only 8 souls on Noah's Ark but he had umpteen animals of all ilk on it. That said, I fully believe God can recreate our pets for us in Heaven and will put my trust in him to restore our beloved pets.

Like what is "day to day" life in heaven like?
No doubt, eternity of no problems and no risk sounds like it could get very boring.
Oh, and I dislike all but maybe 4 people on this planet so do I get unlimited days with only my dogs?

They have chosen to live outside the presence of God and God will give them an eternity of that. That’s what Hell is, eternal separation from the Father. He’s granting their own request.
What about people who question whether there is a god or not? I just can't buy into this because I think if there is a god he would be more concerned how someone lives their life and less about what they believe, especially in an environment where people have many different beliefs.
If every religion thinks they are right.. Who is actually right?

What if she had more than one husband? How does that work?
And what if her first husband remarried?
My wife's mother has been married three times. Two are dead already.
The first one is still alive and is married to someone else.
She really worries about this stuff. Really, really worries. To the point she is very depressed.
She is hard core Pentacostal Holiness.
No one willing to address this question yet?
My MIL was raised Pentacostal Holiness and her first marriage was basically arranged by her parents and his parents.
They had known each other for a while as younger teenagers, and they got married when she was 16 and he was 18.
Their fathers were both preachers / evangelists, as were some of their male siblings, and at least one sister married an evangelist that was part of both Billy Graham's and Oral Roberts' organizations.
My FIL was a school principal who later became a college physics instructor.
He had affairs, and she had mental issues. They divorced when my wife was 14. My MIL was 33 at the time.
She refused to remarry before him, because the Bible said that would be bad.
He ended up marrying one of his college students. He also founded a Pentacostal Holiness denomination of his own (his title is Bishop) which sets up missionary churches in Mexico and on the south side of Oklahoma City where all the Mexicans live.
Her 2nd marriage ended after 5 years because he was an alcoholic.
Her 3rd marriage was to a guy who was pretty good, but he drank, smoked and gambled. But he did provide for her, and he was "saved". He passed away about 15 years ago.
So, my MIL told me once that she expects her first husband will one day call her up and apologize for every wrong he ever committed against her. I told her "That is never going to happen.", which thoroughly pissed her off.
So my question to you holy rollers is, once they are all dead and gone, how will this tangled mess work itself out in Heaven?

Everyone will be your sister or brother. It's going to be kind of weird if you ask me.
From what I have surmised the cacophony of singing and harp playing will be so loud and intrusive that most folks will ask to be relocated to warmer environs where the only noise is that made by souls being tormented for eternity.
Thats a bit of a paraphrase of Mark Twain.....

Its a good thing...most of us can barely tolerate most of our family here on earth. Being stuck with them for eternity without some sort of heroine like distraction would be horrendous......
