There's articles written on it asshat...read the fricking internet. It's not like I just pulled that out of my arse.

You basically said it yourself. 5th largest economy in the world who doesn't want to conform with the EU. Why not try and pull them in to the US. Would completely change the landscape of our own economy.

I would oppose PR statehood until the language issue were cleared up (PR demanding equal time for Spanish). This is one reason we must make English the official national language

Combine New England into one state

Split Cali into five states

Retrocede non-gov DC back to Maryland

At one point there was a movement in Canada for the plains provinces Alberta, Manitoba, Sask to secede, and some wanted to join the US. I don't know where that stands now.

As much as I agree I don't know if the language barrier will have that much pull. The further into the future, the less English remains a dominant language.

Although I hope I'm wrong.

Like that fricking matters if there are articles written on it. Plenty of stupid people post articles on the fricking internet.

Let me guess, you believe this one: LINK

Ok, then by that reasoning why don't we surrender to the U.K., since they were first and become Britains instead of Americans again? What do you think literally all Americans' response to that would be?

Or let's go with your way where all of the U.K. becomes a single "state", which is fricking absurd as a concept in and of itself and would in the very least encompass 4 states. Do you think the average British person is comfortable with that? Seriously go up to the average British person and ask them if you would have a problem of being decomposed into a single state of the people who rebelled from you. I guarantee that you would have a 100% agreement with "frick no".

And it's a fricking kingdom and not a country on top of that. Scotland can very theoretically leave, unlike states here which was very much nipped in the bud over the Civil War. Your opinion, despite multiple "articles" written on it, is unbelievably stupid with a single second of thought.

I've always wondered how strong the feeling of "statehood" registered in DC

Well so is China, India, Germany, and the rest of the god damn world joining our government is an option, but it doesn't change that your opinion is simply retarded. It will never, ever happen, and if you think it's possible really makes me believe you've never left the South at all.

Seriously, find me some people from Britain that want to be absorbed by the United States and all of their national identity to be gone. Even if you can (doubtfully) find them, they would lose the vote to join our nation, because they just recently voted to have a national identity. You have to be incredibly ignorant or stupid to think this is remotely feasible.

It was actually voted on by the House in the '90s when Dems had Clinton in the WH and control of Congress. It would have been the state of "New Columbia" (though now it might be "Obamaland")

This is why me must retrocede ASAP, to end that shite once and for all

NYC needs to become it's own state. There's no reason why a city should be able to hold the rest of a not small state politically hostage.

Wrong. When you actually talk to Puerto Ricans, they are happy with getting free shite and no taxes.

We'll probably absorb two new states at the same time. Should do PR and Manhatten. Once you allow a state to break up though it might be a slippery slope and states will just start fracturing all over the place
