News is saying the retired cop was a defendant in the case with his father being killed. Maybe he was the intended target? Or it had something to do with it.

So basically the shooter and Will knew each other and probably had some I of altercation.
I don't get that, I get that the shooter and the cop knew each other. I doubt this was "planned" as it is a huge coincidence. However, things could change as more information is leaked.

Sounding like it might get upgraded to a 1st degree charge. The Cerevolo connection is too coincidental.

Curious where you are getting your information. You said the cop was driving the Impala but no one has confirmed that yet.

So how did they arrest the shooter? Did he just do it, go sit in his car blocked in and wait for the cops to give himself up or what?

I love New Orleans, my grand parents have lived down there for nearly 20 years now since moving from North La., so I'm always down there a few times a year. I brag to people about how laid back and easy going the city is. People say negative things about the city and I take up for it as if I was born and raised there. I just don't think I can do it anymore. This is beyond sad and depressing and shite needs to change. It's fricking embarrassing on a national level to have a guy that fights to make NOLA better along with many other things, get gunned down over something so petty and ridiculous. I'm done.

RIP, Will

According to the poster above me IM something the cop was in the Impala and held them at gunpoint, according to media they waited till police arrived or at least didn't flee.

I was at bar around the corner and a passer by who said he walked pass right after it happened and said the gunman just sat his gun on the car and didn't go anywhere. Didnt run or anything. I know this is accurate because before the police released the suspect he said the shooter was a huge dude and was wondering if he was a player. Sounds like a eerie weird story. They had to have known each other or there's something more to the story. I don't think it's as random as we think.

Agreed, I have always defended nola until recently. I tried to defend nola and LA as whole, but i just can't do it anymore. The backwards arse shite is just too much now.

If the cop connection is true, then it is pretty clear this wasn't a road rage incident it was a common criminal trying to get payback and he gunned down an innocent person.

I don't know I'm surprised the piece of shite didn't shoot PT as well. Im leaning toward the ex cop pulling a gun and holding the piece of shite brothers until NOPD finally arrived.

If he was really after the cop, why didn't he open fire on him when he got out of the Impala?

There is so much to this story we don't know
