New to the BR area (close to UClub), needing to add WIFI to my house. I have been told Cox is the best but wanted to get some recs form those around here. TIA

Internet service or a wifi router? ATT fiber if it's available. The Internet would likely come through some sort of cable to your house so it would not be wireless.

I’m not around there but I got the Verizon 5g box in my house a few months back and it’s been great

You don't understand why but that post caused me to laugh almost uncontrollably. Please tell me you are over 70 years old.

It sounds like you are asking about an ISP (internet service provider) meaning you do not currently have internet service at you house. Is this correct? If so, pretty much any ISP you choose will have a modem with wifi built in which will probably be sufficient for your needs. I am not in the BR area, so I cannot speak to the quality of service from ISPs there, but I am trying to clear up any confusion I am having from your post.

We switched from Cox to ATT fiber last year and I am happy with the switch. I have also heard good things about REv (formerly Eatel). You may also want to consider a separate router or mesh system depending on the size and layout of your house and how many devices you connect.

We have REV at the camp and IMO anyone that has the option is foolish not to use them. They are by far the best ISP I have ever had. Their customer support and technical support is steller on the rare occasions I have had to use it. They have even talked my late 70s neighbor through a fairly complex technical issue over the phone.
