Because it's a nasty lake and not a beach.

Possibly.....but conversation is limited on the subject.

Mandeville old money killed a project that would have been a mixed use development on the water at the old concrete plant
It wasn't just "old money". Infrastructure cannot handle a huge development in that area.

You talking about the massive Carrollton expansion at the fly? That wasn’t SJW, that was normal people who w joy the fly who were opposed to it.

People would just have to slow down, like bigger cities.

The development isnt dead in the water.

The whole thing is dumb, the old money should have just said from the stsrt they didnt want it. They put all these ridoculous restrictions on it and the developers met every one and they still wont let them build.

These idiots would rather look at an old overgrown concrete plant than nice new houses.

If I owned the place id be filling it with freaking garbage right now, just to piss off everyone over there.

Thank God. The lakefront is crowded enough as is.

Cohen is a little Jewish baw from Chicago.

He pretends to be one of the baws, but he’s a fraud.
He’s either trolling his audience, or being intellectually dishonest.

We all know the answer to his question.

Also, WWL sucks now.

no I’m taking about a soccer and multi purpose stadium and upgrade to a very small portion of the Fly that was very underutilized. The Save the Fly People were people that hadn’t been to the Fly in decades and even more of them didn’t even live in the City. You are very uninformed

BTW: all the money was private funds aimed to better the area.

But no, that wasn’t good enough.

Well, the area where it would have gone up isn’t crowded at all (the wasteland behind Sunset Point, old PreStress Concrete facility) and would potentially have been a god send but they got greedy and tried to push through something way too big.

Traffic is bad enough in Mandeville. And there would have been huge "spillover" crowds from Port Marigny to the lakefront.

At first they did.

Then came all the restrictions.

And they met every restriction, downsized the development.

They were denied again.

Congrats on the lawsuit mandeville.

You’d have had traffic backed up onto the causeway to the 4mile hump. That was a horrible idea, and everyone who lives here knew it.

People have tried to develop along the lake on the Northshore but people in Mandeville block it at every turn.

Do you deny that culcha has pretty much ruined most things?

BR should be cheap as shite to buy a house based on the economy, but good luck finding anything under 300k that isn’t close to the culcha cancer.
