Blood test are required if you are being prescribed schedule 2 norcotics. They are actually making sure that you are taking the drugs prescribed. Some people sell them and just go so they can have access to them.

One of our pharm instructors used to tell us to give them Dolobid but pronounce it "duh-law-bid" so they think they are hearing Dilaudid and leave happy.

Nah, I'm 25.

And while we're on the topic, since clearly you associate certain medications with a select group of individuals, do you ask someone on insulin how fat they are? No, because all types of people (young and old, skinny and fat, male and female) have diabetes and may utilize insulin to treat it.

I hope you feel as dumb as you sound

So enlighten me, why are you taking Adderall as an adult if not to cope with day to day life?

If 600mg or 800mg Motrin is good enough for our men and women in uniform - for every possible problem imaginable, it 's good enough for the OP.

Nah Baw.

I took care of a guy once with scrips from a VA in CA he got it ALL. For flu like symptoms. Norco, Percocet if Norco did not work, phenergan because of nausea and pain med nausea, Zofran if phenergan didn't work. I was amazed. Also was "WTF you doing here?" You'll never get that in a Texas ER.

If you insist...Picture this: The way my brain works is complex, but to simplify as best I can, it's like sitting in front of a TV and having someone else change the channel every 5 seconds, even if what you were wanting to watch was on the first or second channel. Non-stop. Follow me so far? Because unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of having a brain that fires as efficiently as most. My medication increases neurotransmitter activity to account for the missing reception with my dopamine pathway systems (in addition to regulating my serotonin levels, which is the chemical in the brain that accounts for energy, happiness, etc.). Some of the issues that I wish I was able to regulate on my own are organization (although with age and maturity this has become a lot better), using my time wisely, procrastination, concentration, regulating my emotions (again, I've learned with age and maturity to manage these better), and anxiety regarding things that are completely out of my control/have no effect on me personally. I have an incredible long-term memory, but remembering reasons why I went into a particular room sometimes escape me. Believe me, I'd much rather just be able to sit down and do something without having a million things running through my head at once.

Vicodin is now classed same as the big boys. Oxy etc.

Yet marijuana is still Schedule 1.

Deck chairs on the Titanic. Finally ease up on "reefer madness" and now go after Vicodin. Always have to regulate something. Only makes it harder for those who need it. I feel stupid sending someone with a kidney stone a scrip for a few Tylenol with codeine. Or a broken ankle. We medicate the piss out of them here because some shite DOES hurt then send them out the door with T#3. Just because ER docs don't want to mess with a triplicate pad. Which I TOTALLY understand.

I work in an ER now that has zero Dilaudid. It's glorious. We do not stock it. Period. Word gets around quick. I've never seen fewer seekers, and when you do you on,y see them once.

Doctors are now charted based on meds prescribed. So many wont prescribe narcotics unless they absolutely have to.

Adderal AND anxiety.

Seems a bit dicey of a line to walk.

What happens when the adderal makes your heart race?

I don't really have an issue with that...my resting heart rate is usually between 75-85 bpm even when on the adderall. I don't take it when I'm at the gym though, just because my HR is going to be over 100 without it...don't want to have a heart attack on the floor at Golds

I know. Forced to talk out both ends. Prescribe and the DEA climb in you arse. Don't prescribe and satisfaction scores drop andele wonder why?

I've heard GP's may start being scored as well. With the scoring having effects on reimbursement? Hospitals already have this.
