He did a bunch of goofy shite that kids loved on Vine and developed a following of millions and it followed from there.

My post you replied to was my first post in this thread. I think you're confusing me w/ someone else.

He’s one of the Vine kids that are all somehow connected and rose to fame. Illuminati shite probably.

Shawn Mendes was one of them too.

The world doesn't operate the way it did 25 years ago. He was able to get millions of followers on youtube.

Its like if there is a show on NBC, ABC, Fox or CBS you don't watch or not aware of, but a few million people watch it. Its entertaining enough to draw those few million people every week and the people who play in those shows become famous. He was just on a youtube channel creating content that appealed to a certain demographics then he used that to parlay it with other ventures.

Love him or hate him, he has become an actual boxer. Personally I think he has sort of made a mockery out of the sport, but last night I think Tyson took the fight a little more serious in terms of seeing where he stands at 58 with someone who is actually not a bad fighter. Paul could have finished Tyson at one point. I don't think he is the douche he comes off to be, that's just part of his act, but all of these people who act like Jake Paul is just some random person who people know, its no different than someone becoming famous for playing in some tv show.

And I don't mean message boards like this. I mean social media like Facebook, Instagram and tik tok. YouTube was fine for music videos and stuff but not for people uploading their own videos

WTF? Do you know what Youtube even is? Did you forget the YOU part. That's the bread and butter of youtube. No one gives a shite about watching clips of SNL or some old Bob Seger video. They want to see independent creators do shite whether that's build a birdhouse, deep dive into the history of the Etruscan or light a fart on fire. Youtube is basically the biggest public access cable channel in history, and you don't have to pay for air time.

If what you said isn't a troll, it wins dumbest comment on the internet today.

We should be asking why is Mike Tyson famous. He is a convicted rapist and disfigured Evander Holyfield when he bit off part of his ear during a bout. He should have been permanently banned from the sport.

I'm 64 (Boomer). It amazes me that all you guys continue to bitch about and denigrate "influencers", both male and female.

Why begrudge someone for figuring out a way to become successful financially?

All they are doing is taking advantage of the famous words of PT Barnum.

Nothing that every successful televangelist hasn't already done.

I realize some of you are really pissed because you were duped. That is on you.

it's crazy someone become as filthy rich as Logan Paul for doing this

I don’t know. Some pretty funny stuff in there and stupid as well. Not my thing overall but I can see how people could like his stuff.
