re: Why is it so hard for most people to lose weight?

I downloaded the “lose it” app and eat whatever I want as long as I can stay under my calorie count. I’ve lost like 15 lbs in a month so far. I know it’s more difficult for some people as far as what they eat but it seems for me as long as I watch my calorie intake, I’ll meet my goals.

She could also pay for a few personal training sessions. Just so they could show her how to use all the equipment properly until she feels comfortable on her own.
This is what I want, but in a gym nobody else is in too.

I know someone who eats properly (according to a dietician) and works out 4-5 days a week. She stays at one weight, and doesn't lose any more. She is only maybe 10lbs heavier when she doesn't work out.
I eat whatever the frick I want (usually around 4-5000 calories a day), and don't work out at all. I stay the same weight. I was 175 until I was 28. Started engineering school, and went to 185 within a year or so. Stayed that way for six years, until now. I am between 185 and 190, because my gf goes grocery shopping, and I just eat all day. I haven't gone up in the past six months, and still eat whatever without working out

My wife likes the classes better than a trainer because it’s more social

She's lying, an alien, or her dietician is retarded.
She isn't a magical super human. Put that bitch in the Holocaust and I bet she loses weight.

Yeah you should look into videos and work out at home. Or even apps...there are a ton of exercise apps now that tell you exactly what to do. Or even Pinterest...tons of exercis pins with routines you can easily do from home. Then once you feel more comfortable (or bored with videos) go to the gym.

I'm the exact opposite. I hate classes. I can't stand being social at the gym. I'm a loner when I work out. Don't talk to me, just let me do what I want to do by myself.
I purposely go to the gym and go into the spin studio when I know there isn't a spin class cause I would rather just be in there by myself and pick a spin class off my Peloton app to do.
Even back when I use to hike outside all the time...I always preferred going by myself than with someone else(course...it is much safer with someone else).

My wife started coming to the gym WITH me. I had to adjust my schedule when that started happening.

My husband and I belong to different gyms so don't have to worry about that.
He's like me though...he prefers to go by himself and wants to be left alone.

I tried keto but it was hard to stay in ketosis. The carbs weren’t the problem for me, I just had trouble eating enough fat. Just didn’t like it after a while. Plus I hated not being able to eat apples, peas, bananas, and more than a few berries. But giving up processed sugary shite? Not as hard as I though it’d be.

Its not hard, complex, or anything like that. This guy lost a ton a weight by just fasting for 28 days.

Not lying, and the dietician is well respected. Just isn't working. She's gonna go back and re-adjust food though, because the loss has hit a plateau eating 1900cal/day and almost no carbs, almost no sugar, and no booze. For some people, it isn't as easy as not eating carbs and working out.
I still get to eat like a hoss when I try to lose weight and work out. I'd pass out with less than 3500cal/day. My body just naturally uses that much food. Dieting, I just can't eat spaghetti for dinner
