I'm with OP. There's too many posters defending poor first pitch skills.

Overthrowing is one thing. But I am supposed to think that Denard Robinson, an athlete who plays in front of huge crowds in big situations, and threw a football throughout college, throws a 30 footer because the pressure got to him?

John Wall had a bad one once...so the guy who can shoot a basketball with professional accuracy with a flick of his wrist can't do the same with a baseball and get it in the same zip code as the catcher?

I'm not saying these guys should hum in strikes at 85 mph, but throw it towards the catcher...not halfway up the 1st baseline.
