I’ve heard more and more Europeans saying vacation lately. Do you think there’s a correlation?

Do you get mad at people for saying the score is 15-love in tennis?

I'll admit I feel lame as frick saying "pitch" when referring to soccer in America

debatable, from a USA perspective, particularly on the Gulf Coast.

I didn't say I got mad, I said he was a douche.

He was also the first "far-left-wing" engineer I had ever met; a graduate of UT-Austin. Engineers, in my experience, are far too analytical to be "too" far Left politically. Not to say there are not Democrat engineers, just difficult to find Deranged Leftist ones (excluding Computer Engineers in Silicon Valley).

No. In this context, it's just weird and obsessive.

Dude, it wasn't weird or obsessive. He was a co-worker for three years, to the best of my knowledge, the FIRST engineer I ever met who fell into that deep of a lean into left-wing political leanings. I didn't hate the guy.. heck, I helped him spray-foam insulation in his attic on a hot-arse Saturday morning too.

I am an observer. And I talk to people.

When I met my purple-haired, face-pierced Uber driver that took me from CVG Airport to my hotel in Cincinnati recently, I talked to her and found out some things about her and she found out some things about me. She actually brought up politics, and my initial thoughts on her leanings were correct.

If I meet a gender-studies major, I think I can pretty accurately guess their political belief. And when I meet mechanical engineers, I can usually guess their political leanings also.

Not all can be figured out so easily. But some can.

What is the relevance of his political leanings in the context of this thread?

Dude said the game was 2-nil. That's not a liberal or conservative thing to say.

You brought it up to say "see, I told you he's a douche, he's a liberal!"

I don't think that Classic Liberals are douches. Half my friends are in that category. I stand by my categorization that Deranged Leftists ARE douches.

We haven't spoken in years.. the guy stands out as someone with a few characteristics I liked and a few douchey ones.

One of his stand-outs, in my mind, was that he was the FIRST ENGINEER that (I think I ever met that) had far Left wing political leanings. That is how I categorize him.

Let's just move on, this shite is not entertaining our fellow O-Ters.
