I was there last week and it smelled fine. Perhaps you're close to a foul garbage can or someone puked the carpet near your gate.

I would suggest Wash, Rinse, and Repeat while your in the shower next time before you hop aboard with the rest of the poors boarding Allegiant or Spirit Airlines.

I know the smell you are talking about. To be honest, I think that it's dirty mop water. The janitors are too lazy to occasionally change out the solution, so you get that armpit smell.

While MSY is a huge piece of shite, DFW is pretty terrible for such a huge airport with the exception of the international terminal.

I have flown out of DFW more then I wish to remember and outside of the international terminal it is a shite hole

MSY looked real nice for a couple of years after the Super Bowl. Once they decided to build the new terminal, they have zero cares to give about the current one. It's going to a dump, fast. No maintenance or money being put into the current one.
Good ole NOLA service industry employees. Lazy.

Can you guess which airline I typically fly on?
Is the C security quicker than B? Flying back from Denver after last Thanksgiving really illustrated how slowly MSY's security line moves.
