Because I generally don't like Christmas music and don't listen to the radio.
The power of music lends to our association of the sound, with a particular period in our life. Back when 'gifts' were sparse and families were strong and close, Christmas was a unique celebration and a special time of year. People dropped their private toils and came together in the spirit of giving and love and being exceptionally grateful and blessed...with the ultimate 'gift', from God. The music bore witness to the Spirit of this scenario. Those who felt it, will never forget; and will look forward toward more of it. It was that good, for some. Your's Truly among those 'blessed'.
That said, in today's consumerist/fractured family world and disintegrating society, Christmas - the Spirit therein - has lost much power. Everything comes and goes. That's what makes it so valuable.

Haha. That song always makes me think of that moment. Great song.

I absolutely love this song! He has a few other good Christmas songs as well.

I think we can all agree that Aaron Neville’s Soulful Christmas is the undisputed GOAT Christmas album.

It's a great song for sure.
Perhaps it only plays if you're in the attic watching old home videos.
