I was also kind of thinking that those things must get pretty sweaty and nasty in addition to being uncomfortable. It seems kind of like if somebody would wear a heavy wool coat when the weather is hot outside.

Uggs were founded by an Australian surfer dude who moved to California. They weren’t actually designed as winter boots, they were being worn on the beach by dudes as casual shoes

They're basically high rise house shoes.

I really want a pair of the sweater ones like this...

Saw a woman at church yesterday wearing them. They didn't look bulky on her legs at all...actually looked really cute with her outfit.

Uggs are actually super fricking comfortable

It's unreal how comfortable. Have a pair of the ascot house slippers and know why women wear them in fall weather.

Yep, they were essentially high top slippers. Designed to be casual, soft and comfortable. Not rugged winter boots (that’s obviously changed now as company has grown and expanded)

Do they need any other reason?

Do you have trouble finding Uggs that fit, Evil Little Thing? You must have big feet since you’re so tall. Lol

Women are dumb like that. The ex wife used to try to make me wear jeans when it's 80 in December because it's "Winter". Thats one of the reasons she's an ex.

Yeah I always hated them. Said they were just ugly as hell and didn't get why most women were going nuts over them.

Then I tried on a pair and was like "well frick, I had it all wrong"

Only trashy chicks wear those now (in most parts of the country). Those things have been out of style for a few years.

Wearing them around the house is a different story. I'd probably wear those things around the house, Tom Brady style. They're comfortable af

Maybe where you live. I still see quite a few women wearing them here in Scottsdale...whether it is at Target or the upscale shopping areas where I live.

Mainly Samoan women wear them around here, a few meth heads to as well with pajama bottoms.

It is a pretty standard "I have errands to run today and just want to be comfy" uniform for many women.

You ain't wearing them to go someplace nice.

Yeah, it varies but in most parts of the country people don't wear them anymore. In Japan the Backstreet Boys are still a major draw. That's doesn't mean the Backstreet Boys are generally speaking still relevant.

Yea, but if you do, there's a strong possibility of a detour to pound town.
