That Sam S guy for starters. I finally convinced her to play her "happy" playlist, which, par for the course, is actually mid-tempo, melancholy music.

Women are primarily driven by emotion; they have to "feel something." Even feeling negative emotions is better than feeling nothing.

Women are slaves to their emotions. To the point where even if they are, at the moment, even-keeled they will search out emotional stuff (break up songs, social media drama, lousy movies, or straight-up imagined things) to keep the merry-go-round turning.

Sad movies, books, songs are a "safe" way for us to feel those intense emotions in small doses.
