re: Why do we euthanize pets but not people?

It's an life is sacred thing.
People should have the right to determine their own exit from this world. But people don't agree on the lines.
While Grandma who has suffered through a disease that has erased her mind but in coherent years or even at the early onset determined when she wants to go. Or a person who has lost a significant function of their body with no hope for recovery make sense if that's what they want.
Then what do you do about the 29yo who is simply bored and doesn't want to exist?
What do you do if your significant other is only kept alive by machinery and has been long gone for a decade but made no preparation?

The deceased's family can sue.
