I'm just now getting to the point where I'll wear a t shirt or a free fly type hoody outside of the house

I still don't do this

There is an occasionally a time where I'll wear a t-shirt to a local grocery store, but only if I'm hanging by the pool and have to run to the store to pick something up real quick. Even then, I'm more likely to have a short sleeve button down on than a t-shirt.

ETA: but I do 100% wear shorts in public

I live here. It can be materialistic in some ways. Personally I try not to judge people by material things. Also a lot of folks actually dress down around here in workout clothes and stuff like that.

And then you have a dude in a t shirt and flops. This is the most important cultural event of our city. You would think people can show a little respect

When people say "Dallas", they usually are referring to the general area since most people do not live in Dallas.

You can pick whatever type town you want in the general area.

Yep. I chose a more conservative county.

Is it the one where the black teen stabbed the white teen at the track meet?

I would pick Dallas.
It sounds like the suburbs are being invaded by Indians.

What is the sentiment on the ground?
My local news reposts an update to this story every day on fb. Most of the comments are from people in other cities. Tons of black people defending it. Although it seems like even on the super liberal Reddit that isn’t the case. The people on the Dallas subreddit were disgusted.
But oddly enough, the frisco subreddit seemed more “well maybe it was self defense” lol. So is frisco full of a bunch of shite libs or what?
Is there any chance he will get off?

Don’t case. It’s almost summer. I’m not wearing anything with buttons unless it is Hawaiian print and I’ll be suspicious of anyone acting differently. Obvious out-of-town intruders.

The sentiment is that it was an atrocity. Only time will tell but I'm confident the citizens of this county will indict and convict.

I live in south louisiana. Not exactly the mecca of materialism.
