Because "I don't have an underlying condition, therefore it won't happen to me." Leaving aside the very high probability that if they are over 30, and certainly over 40, they actually do have some kind of condition.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that Trump denied this for so long and his supporters dug in their heals. Now think he’s only being serious about this bc the media is forcing his hand.
