The gay, black, vets are swimming in calendar slots dedicated to them. Lucky bastards.

But US Veterans get one day dedicated to them?

After reading stories of the attack on Pearl Harbor yesterday, this question popped in my mind?

From the USO Website:

quote:

When is Military Appreciation Month?

Officially designated by Congress in 1999, Military Appreciation Month takes place every year throughout the entire month of May. Every year, the president issues an annual proclamation reminding Americans to celebrate this patriotic month that pays tribute to those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.

Although the entire month is designated to honoring past and present military members and their families, there are several, specific military holidays sprinkled throughout Military Appreciation Month itself, including Loyalty Day, VE Day, Military Spouse Appreciation Day, Mother’s Day, Armed Forces Day and Memorial Day.

Did anyone see the Bill Burr monologue on SNL a few weeks ago? Hit this exact topic. Hilarious. That bit starts at the 5:00 mark.

Real question is why do they get to take the rainbow? I tend to think the rainbow is pretty cool

Rainbow is a reminder of God’s promise to us. Gays tried to take something beautiful for all of us and make it about themselves, but I don’t recognize their narcissism.
quote:

When we see rainbows today, we know that every rainbow is still a sign of the covenant made thousands and thousands of years ago between God and all generations of humanity. We can trust that God will remain faithful to his promise and that never again will another flood wipe out all life on earth. God made a powerful covenant rooted in grace, love, and forgiveness. God made a covenant that he still honors today. The rainbow reminds us that we can trust God’s faithfulness no matter what we are going through.
