Their most deeply held beliefs?

For instance taking every thing for granted as true in the Bible, but scrutinizing what people tell you in daily life.

Everyone likes feeling comfortable believing what they want to believe and not what’s fact.

Are you?

You're not. You just have different fallacies you cling to

What are your most deeply held beliefs? How did you objectively come to these beliefs?

Is it even possible to be objective about something you already believe deeply?

You're right. Most people are hypocrites.

Many times you'll get called out by "your side" for not being a hypocrite if you simply call a spade a spade. Go to the poli board and comment on some stupid shite Trump did. If you call it stupid, you'll get called a cuck. If you point out that the same people were critical of Obama for the same things, you'll simply get called a cuck again.

Very few people live by principles, they choose rather to live by what's expedient.

I value objectivity because it's rare. And because I'm confident enough that I don't care if you don't like it.

Yep. Accusing someone else of being hypocritical is itself hypocritical.

I don’t have any. I’m open to the possibility that I could be completely wrong about what I believe at all times, even the nature of reality itself.

I have no dogmas or ideologies.

But I do understand human nature, at least to the extent that it allows me to analyze peoplea actions on a rudimentary level.

You can be objective about the nature of your beliefs.

For example: Christianity is radical, illogical and unscientific. I'm a Christian but I have no problem admitting that. The very nature of Christianity is that it requires faith and radicalism because it's so illogical (i.e. people can't raise from the dead and ascend into the sky).

How silly would it be for me to criticize islam or scientology simply for being radical? I can criticize both for many things, but to criticize Islam for requiring radicalism while ignoring the radical belief requirements of Christianity would be a lack of self-awareness on my part. I can admit that both require radicalism.

Sure, but few desire or attempt to curb their hypocrisy.

Let me try to reframe it. Do you feel like you are objective when it comes to specific beliefs? As in Jesus as the son of God (just an example)?

Within the framework of my beliefs. Also in that I can admit where there are logical inconsistencies. It's a difficult question because anything that requires faith isn't objective at its core. But you can be as impartial as possible within a particular framework.

Not sure if that answers your question
