The 2012 Jeep will probably be able to be sold for the same amount that he bought it for.
I paid 26K for the base model 2012. It’s probably worth about 20K (probably less due to high mileage). Still, that’s pretty insane

Less than 3 years ago I got a special edition with low miles and added features at like 31k. It's the inflation bud.

So if i buy a 2022 wrangler for 55k, how much am i looking looking at a resale in 5 years with roughly 60K miles?
Im not arguing as much as trying to see the numbers...other than regular maintenance, and a set of tires...help me break down the costs of ownership please.
Im not interested in driving around in a living room (?) but I dont see how anything could beat toyota/honda for cost, maint, resale.

It's almost like you've been in a coma the last two years.
I bought a 2014 four door new and back then it was like 38,000 over priced junk. The roof started leaking after six months and traded it in shortly after. 10-12k won't buy much for any vehicle these days.

KBB says a 2017 wrangler 4-door base model with 30K miles is worth $36K
