We don’t hate it, we just don’t think about Houston much until someone from Texas starts a thread about it.

This.

Houston is a nice place to live and work and we should all be happy for them. As long as they behave.

But when the Louisiana transplants that moved there start putting their home state down and shitting on Louisiana, that's when the hate comes out for Houston.

It's like someone constantly shitting on their ex while they're with a much better partner. And that's just pathetic.

now that you mention it, it is peculiar how everyone I know that lives in the Woodlands throws it out there like it's the Hamptons or something

Houston is a generic city. Can people not from Houston or Texas name a single Houston building or landmark?

That's the help. We told her that her services weren't needed after she intruded in our space.

Houston is solid. Like Jacksonville without the beaches.

The hate is because LA is TX's little brother and they have an inferiority complex.

90% of LSU grads move to Houston because of it strong economy. Those stuck in LA are envious. Houston is big has a baseball team and loads more stuff to do than NOLA or BR. It even has a strong NOLA feel because of all the transplants.

Even Chicken runs TD from Houston. That says all you need.

It's where Louisianan's go to when they outgrow LA. That guy that said Houston was Louisiana's New York was kind of right.

You aren’t helping Houston with that comparison

Personal experience here.

Moved to Houston after 18 years in Avoyelles Parish, 5 years in Baton Rouge and 3 years in Lafayette.

It was awesome. Things to do. Places to eat. Great food. Great drinking spots. It’s a great city, and entirely underrated.

Then I moved to Austin, and while Austin is one of the most overrated cities in the country, it still makes you realize how unbelievably shitty Houston is.
