Why did it take 3 pages to mention Clark/Kelly? He gets my vote.

Love Reaher, Rapp, Harvath, gabrielle Allon.

Just read a book Faceoff where thriller writers in this genre paired off with another author and cowrote short stories combining their big protagonists. Okay book but helps me pick the next series' to read. Quite a few authors/characters in this thread were in the book.

Mitch Rapp.

Had the pleasure to chat up Vince Flynn a couple of years ago while waiting for a flight. He was my favorite author.

Check out Conn Iggulden's "Conquerer" series about the life of Ghenghis Khan. Historical fiction at its best. Ghenghis shook the world.

meh,, some of his hobbies are pretty gay

I guess so. Who would ever think of collecting rare classic cars, and airplanes such as the ME 262 Nazi Jet Fighter, maybe a scroll or two from the Alexandria Library? Dirk's a puss!

I'll go with Bob Lee Swagger in Stephen Hunter's books. The dude is just a mountain of experience and shooting skill.

I like the Swagger novels.
