Out of Tampa. Think it's like 3 hours. I'll just drink myself into a nice buzz and DWI. $250 round trip? As long as they get me there in 1 piece.

I use it for short trips, can't beat 50-70 bucks for a round trip to dallas

It's not bad if you know what you're getting into. It's a budget airline. The base fare is a seat and a personal item. We loaded a large backpack up with stuff and were just fine.

a lot of airlines are going this route now as well... where you will pay only for your seat and then everything else is extra. read Delta will have new planes (or maybe older ones) with less leg room, no food/drinks/no carry on/check-in but it is to compete with these smaller airlines that are really cheap.

Flying spirit airlines is like flying in a coke can.
Flew to Central America from ATL for around 450 after luggage and the ridiculous amount of fees. Not a bad price at all but the original cost of the flight was 320 before fees. You're going to get barebones. Looking back, I should have gone with the 550ish flight from a more mainstream airline and not tried to pinch pennies.

Used them once. They cancelled the return flight LA to Dallas because not enough people to fill the plane. Cost me over $800 to rush book a flight on Virgin and many people were just flat out of luck. Would have to be stranded on an island to fly them again.
