I don't know what butcher you go to but that is not something all butchers do. If you become cool with the butcher sometimes you can ask them to cut it just like you like it and they are not adding anything too it.
You can't even compare the two. At least there are some butchers who take pride in what they do.

No doubt. Sales is one of the few white collar “careers” that don’t require higher education thus it can attract a wide array of folks. Some of those are seedy and for whatever reason they tend to gravitate to the car industry.

My late stepfather was a butcher at Calandros in BR. I never saw him add any weight to the meat he was cutting. I call BS.
