Thanks. They told me IBS, but I feel like shooting myself at times. During an attack, it feels like my insides swell, and I shite water.

Definitely get a second opinion. It took them 6 months and lots of expensive blood tests for the Drs to finally figure out it was crohn's.

I used to have a picline in my right arm and when they injected Dilauded into that I could feel it hit my heart and feel it go through my whole body within seconds and it was like WOOOOOOOOW.

Yeah, now I know how heroin junkies feel.

A pain pump with dilaudid makes the hospital stays manageable.

Sorry if this is too personal Dukke but I was wondering what you do for work?
I'm majoring in Mech. Eng. but I don't know if I'll be able to finish it with this damn disease...

How old are you???? Keep your head up... As for me I hadn't missed a day of work for over 7 years before I got sick. I am a scaffold yard manager. But I was out for over 15 months. It was horrible with all the operations and not really knowing what was going on. I was miserable and depressed as shite having to basically laying bed all that time. But once I got the bag and things got better, I was able to go back to work. I look at things a whole different way these days. Again keep your head up.

Thanks for words of encouragement! It's great to hear you're back at work. I'm 22, I had to take a year off from LSU, but back at it. I got the bag back in March, it's just kinda awkward having the bag, it seems to have a mind of its own! But I'm grateful for it, I wouldn't be here without it.

I went into remission last year with my crohns. I know it won't last forever, but I'll enjoy it while I can because y'all are scaring the shite outta me

I don't know how you guys take that stuff.
I broke my neck in july and and after surgery they tried giving it to me, even knocked out my body couldn't handle it, I threw up blood all the way into the hallway for hours and hours. Finally after about the 4th shot they gave up and went back to percocet. Pain medicine just makes me sleep though, so I don't bother with it unless I feel like I'm hurting too much to sleep.

Switch to Enbrel, shots burn less and just as effective.

Dirty rascal, you were asking about working with the bag, etc... My dad also had a bag that he got in his early 20s while at LSU. It took him an extra year to finish as well. Back then, the doctors told him that with as bad as his UC is, he probably wouldn't make it to age 60. He finished college with a degree in education though, and went on to teach for about 20 years. After he got burnt out of that, he did sales and still does it to this day (he turned 70 this year). Other than the bag and type 2 diabetes, he's in good health & is strong.

And with 4 marriages and who knows how many girlfriends between, evidently his pull game never suffered.

So while this can bend you, hopefully it won't break you. Good luck.
