With two teenage daughters, we are constantly shopping there. My oldest daughter (16, you sick fricker) loves getting high dollar shite for cheap.
Today, she grabbed a $150 Patagonia pullover wool shirt for $15. She takes pride in wearing high dollar shite for nothing. She likes to brag about what she got it for.
She goes garage selling with me, just to find clothing steals. You know those sorority T-shirt’s called “Southern Marsh” and similar names, costs about $35 each for a fricking T-shirt? She once grabbed 15 of them for $1 each, they looked brand new. She sold five of them to friends for $10 each.
At Plato’s Closet, even us old fart, fat arse baws can finds deals. I bought a pair of Levi’s 501 jeans for $7 today.

Walked into the Corpus Christi Plato's Closet, everything in the men's section had glitter or I believe rhinestones.

That is my only experience.

I went there once, but they didn’t have any Tapout or Affliction shirts, so I left

Using it as a verb, “garage saling” isn’t even a word and “garage sailing” sounds like you are on a boat, so I always say “garage selling”

That’s 99% of the men’s section of the one in BR as well, so I was excited (and dumbfounded) when I found the plain Jane Levi’s 501 jeans

I assume this is sort of a thrift store? One thing I appreciate about the younger generation is that they have no problem with hand me downs, at least my kid doesn't. I'll have to check it out.

Eh, tomato, tomato.

To answer your question, my wife does. I’m too tall to find/sell at those places.

Not a thrift store, but more of a clothing pawn shop. People sell clothes to them for next to nothing, and they flip the clothes back onto the floor with great prices. Like I said, my daughter grabbed a $150 Patagonia wool pullover for $15 today. A couple years ago when she was in middle school, the hottest thing was “Pink” by Victoria Secret. These things were $50 for a T-shirt. She would grab them for $5 all day long at Plato’s.

I used to do this a few years back, but the good finds kept getting harder and harder to come by because everyone puts their business out on the internet

“Look at me” “Look what you can find too if you go to garage sales!”

I have a 13 year old daughter. I feel your pain. Luckily mine is pretty level headed and frugal.

Considering that I’ve made over $2500 off garage/estate sale in the last three weeks, I’d say you don’t know what to look for.

I have like 5-6 of the cotton polos I’ll mail you baws for free.

I’ve got 2 banana republic shirts
1 red perlis one
2 Polo/Ralph Lauren, white and Purple
2 Vineyard Vines, Navy and Powder blue

All XL. Been trying to get rid of them, because I only wear the dry fit/ Polyester stretch polo’s now. So much more comfortable

You dress like you are 17 already. Might as well lop it off for good measure for your transition.
