It’s Shaq. And it’s not even close. You can’t turn on the TV and not see a Shaq commercial. Lauren Davis? Never heard of her.

I think being a popular alum should also require people to know you went to LSU.
I doubt even die hard Daigle fans know she went to LSU.

Not "right now" perhaps, but he was VP and did receive over 31 million votes for President of the United States in 1968 so he has to rank as one of the most popular LSU alums of all time:
